Brave Title Logo

A behind-the-scenes look at the vector artwork used to create the Brave logo, alongside the final 3D modeled and shaded stone title treatment. The logo incorporates a braided Celtic motif with hidden illustrations of main characters Merida and Queen Elinor engraved into the stone letterforms.

Brave Emblems & Celtic Patterns

As a Pixar intern, I developed a vector-based workflow for creating the intricate Celtic knotwork, borders, and repeating patterns used throughout Brave. Replacing a labor-intensive hand-rendered process with scalable Illustrator artwork allowed motifs to be edited, reused, and applied efficiently across the sets, costumes, and promotional materials for the film.

Below are Celtic emblem designs for the four clans and Merida's spiral medallion, inspired by the forms and ornamentation of tribal motifs from ancient Scotland.
